Glider with "Power Prop" - #6 Hawker Hurricane MK. 11C

The Hurricane was probably the first glider that I ever got.  I think that my brother & I each received a glider and later on I inherited his glider.  As you can see they logged some pretty serious flight time and some pretty serious time in the "shop" as well as you can see the extensive repairs done with scotch tape which has yellowed over the years.  The purple colored ones are definitely older than the more pristine looking glider.

    Its amazing how the shape of the Hurricane changed over 50 years...

    Its a broader wing I admit, but in terms of appearance and aerodynamic quality, the last version was fast and rugged as well as colourful

      I think I will always like it better just because this type was my first glider ever and the nostalgia associated with it. The latest version is certainly one of the most detailed and best looking gliders out of all of the Power Prop Gliders.
