Glider with "Power Prop" - #7 Grumman F6F Hellcat

These gliders were among the last that I added to my collection when I was young.  I think that is the case because how undamaged this glider is.  I have another one that is identical to it and which is also in perfect condition.

  1. Despite the painting representing a P-47 Razorback Thunderbolt, its convincing enough to mistake it for a Hellcat, the model was always spot on and a beautiful flier! I would love to have this as well on my shelf with the others! :)

    1. The printing on the opposite side actually looks nicer. I didn't show it in the picture because then the lettering would be backwards. The coloring definitely reminds me of the Thunderbolt from my power prop glider set with the red and blue packages.

  2. Well the shape is correct, and the colourscheme could be passed on for a Hellcat, but I am guessing that the makers in Taiwan didn't know it was a Thunderbolt, because that painting does look like a Hellcat from the back!

    1. I wish it came in the dark blue paint scheme with the white lettering. That would look pretty cool.
