Fantastic model of the Ta-152H, despite it being one of the last piston engined fighters of WWII, it was a beautiful addition to the set, this was one of my favourites!
Always a good laugh when you tried to pronounce the word Eocke...and despite it having amazing detail, the Luftwaffe crosses were removed to avoid the Political Correction, if the crosses had remained on the aircraft model, then power prop would have been stopped for at least a few years...and this is the 90's we are talking about...where everything was overreacted to..
What striked me was always the packet that shows on the fuselage a clear black German cross on the side with the 2 next to it, whereas the model has just the 2 on it..

ReplyDeleteI learned much later on that the "E" in "Eocke" was a typo as it was supposed to be shown "Focke".

ReplyDeleteI think it is definitely overreacting considering that all German airplanes in museums and in books still show the original markings.

ReplyDeleteIt looks to me like the space beside the #2 and that each side of the wings has had a section colored in after the fact to get rid of the crosses.
