Power Prop Flying Gliders - #2 Mitsubishi Zero (1970's?)

I saw a WWII Power Prop Flying Gliders Mitsubishi Zero for sale on E-bay with the following description:

1 Mitsubishi Zero Flying Glider in Original Package (Circa 1970's)

The price tag was $3.49 so I figured it was worth it to buy it to see if it indeed was as old as the description said it is.  Here are the pictures:

Front side of the package
Reverse side of the package

This glider was made in Taiwan, which speaks to how old it is.  The glider also has a white plastic nose weight which I have never seen before.  The graphics are kinda faded, but that could be due to the printer running out of ink when this one was made.

When I bought it, I thought that perhaps the package art was different.  When comparing it to the cover art on the 2 following pictures, I can see that the art is not as colorful or as detailed as the 2 Mitsubishi Zero packages shown below.

So basically I have no idea how old it could really be.

Glider with "Power Prop" - #3 Type 4 Fighter Hayate

So it turns out that I have 2 wings, 2 tails and 1 fuselage for this glider.  Perhaps the other fuselage could not even be saved by scotch tape and I threw it out?  I can't remember.  As you can see, one set of wings is smaller than the other.  I am convinced that the smaller set came from an older set.  The larger set of wings with the weird white crease mark and the fuselage pictured below must have come from a glider I purchased later.  I can tell that the fuselage is one I purchased later because the nose hasn't been wrinkled due to crashes.  It appears that I took a picture of the wrong wing/fuselage combination.  Oh well!

Glider with "Power Prop" - #2 Mitsubishi Zero

I have 2 slightly different Mitsubishi Zero's.  The older one is pictured first and it is a much darker green.  I believe I cut the wings to see if it would make it fly better, which it didn't.  You can see the extensive repairs done in scotch tape to the tail section.  I am fairly certain that these gliders were the exact same size before I but the wings of the first one and before the nose section of the first one got compressed after many crashes.

Shen Shin Glider - #2 Mitsubishi Zero

I found this glider recently on E-bay.  I have never seen one with this sort of packaging before.  I have also never seen a package with the #7 Lockheed or Lightning as a red plane.  I am curious what that red plane actually is.  You can see that the detail on this glider is very nice which tells me that it must be a pretty old one.  I'll keep a look out for more of this set.

I only have a picture of the envelope for this glider, as a Spitfire was enclosed.

Counterfeit Power Prop Flying Gliders - #3 Type 4 Fighter Hayate

This is not a terrible counterfeit... but it is still kinda bad.

This glider isn't a terrible counterfeit of the authentic Mitsubishi Zero gliders.  I do like the blue tail.  The manufacturer's printer must have ran out of ink.
